ARE THERE ANY RESERVE OFFICERS THAT CARRY TASERS WHILE WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH A FULL-TIME OFFICER?

I am a reserve deputy and carry a taser x-26. I am a solo unit, however some of our other reserves who are not solo certified may also carry a taser as long as they have been trained, (taken the ride).

I am in charge on my agency's reserve officer program. Our reserves can and do carry Tasers. They receive the same training the rest of us do.

I am a "Solo" reserve. I carry both the M26 and X26 and I am certified on both. We are required to re-cert. every 6mo. I have personally been tasered like three or four times. Good Times!

I also carry a X26 taser. We are required to ride with a full-time officer, but hopefully that is in the works to change soon.

..

Everyone in the patrol division (which includes auxiliaries) has to be X26 TASER trained.
The TASERS are treated like the shotguns and can be checked out by anyone who want's one....but we don't have enough for everyone to have one.

I've carried one a few times but after the "magic" wore off I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle. I guess I'm just too lazy

reserve tasers

Our department has all on duty officers that have finished the taser training carry them while working. It is a little bit easier because its a small department but that makes it more important for each person to have the most tools available to them.

WOW! Never seen two tasers on one person. That is multi-talented!

RESERVES WITH TASERS

I am issued an X26 just the same as everyone else. We are treated just like everyone else after you finish FTO. We ride alone, have all police powers, same weapons, uniforms and anything else we need.

Reserves with Tasers

I am employed as a Reserve Officer in a small Colorado town.
I am required to carry a Taser.
I will be required to re-certify ever year.
As a Reserve Officer, I must be accompanied
by a Level I Peace Officer.

Tasers

Hello,

Yes my department lets us carry them. I also work alone and cover shifts. I just had to take the ride like any other officer.
